Lore
Peter Parker got bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager and never really got to just be a normal kid after that. With superhuman agility, wall-crawling, and a spider-sense that borders on precognition, he became New York's most beloved protector. What makes him special isn't raw power โ it's the mind behind the mask. In Marvel Rivals, that translates beautifully: his web-slinging mobility, rapid melee combos, and ability to isolate targets feel ripped straight from the comics. He's always been the underdog who outsmarts everyone, and in-game, that spirit is completely intact. Read more on Wikipedia
Overview
Spider-Man is unlike almost any other Duelist in Marvel Rivals. While most damage dealers want to find a good angle and start shooting, Spidey wants to be in the middle of everything โ swinging, bouncing off walls, and picking apart the enemy backline before they even realize what hit them. His entire kit is built around mobility and disruption. He doesn't just deal damage; he controls where the fight happens, pulling enemies out of position and creating chaos that his teammates can capitalize on.
Heading into Season 3 of 2026, Spider-Man sits comfortably in S tier, and it's not hard to see why. The current meta rewards heroes who can bypass tanky frontlines and apply pressure directly to supports and squishy Duelists. Spidey does exactly that better than almost anyone. His web mobility has no real cooldown that punishes him heavily, and his ability to engage, disengage, and re-engage in seconds makes him one of the hardest heroes to shut down consistently. Balance patches this season have kept him largely untouched, so if you're looking for a high-reward pick, this is it.
Learning how to play Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals properly takes real time and dedication. He has one of the highest skill ceilings in the roster. New players will often find themselves dying constantly because they overextend without an escape plan. The sweet spot comes when you understand the rhythm of his swings and can chain movement with combat naturally. That said, even a moderately skilled Spider-Man can cause enormous problems just by constantly threatening the enemy's back row.
The most iconic thing about playing him is the web-pull into combo sequence. Being able to drag a healer away from their team, land a full burst combo, and then disappear before anyone can respond โ that's the Spidey fantasy, and Marvel Rivals delivers it in full. Among the best Spider-Man tips in Marvel Rivals, mastering that pull timing is the single biggest thing that separates average players from truly scary ones.
